Outside Sales Representative (Rapid City, SD)
Reports to:Branch Manager
Job Summary: Assist the sales/branch manager to increase company sales by providing superior customer service, exhibiting extensive product knowledge, and supporting ongoing sales objectives.
Job Requirements and Qualifications:
To be eligible for the position, candidate must:

·Be able to apply math principles and concepts including: measurements, percentages, fractions, etc.
·Have the ability to use common hand tools, handle small parts, and operate assembly machines
·Be able to navigate and troubleshoot the Internet skillfully
·Be able to operate Windows based computer programs successfully
·Have a valid drivers license and acceptable driving record
·Be able to pass a drug screen and physical examination
·Have a minimum of an Associate degree in a related field; or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or 2 years or more sales experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
·Researching, identifying, and following prospective customer leads through various mediums such as networking and cold calling.
·Contacting prospective and existing customers to discuss their product needs or present product information and current pricing while providing general customer support.
·Providing inside sales customer support by answering incoming sales and customer service phone calls, assisting walk-in customers with counter and will-call orders, and answering general product questions.
·Traveling to customer business sites to deliver goods, evaluate prospective leads, and provide general customer service and support
·Operating and navigating large pickup loads with and without attached trailers for hours at a time and in urban areas
·Quoting prices, credit terms, and other product bid information to prospective and existing customers.
·Exhibiting extensive product knowledge and expertise by emphasizing product features based on the analyses of customers’ needs and on technical knowledge of product capabilities, functionalities and limitations.
·Setting up new customer accounts and maintaining existing customer records and accounts using the company’s computer software.
·Contacting product venders for pricing and availability, freight quotes, shipping dates, and lead times upon customer inquiry.
·Negotiating customer prices, terms of sale, and service agreements.
·Entering data for vender purchase orders, customer orders, and quotes into the computer system for processing.
·Establishing and maintaining interpersonal working relationships with customers, venders, and co-workers.
·Documenting, preparing, and developing customer records on product demand forecasts, product usage and implementation, and customer specific pricing.
·Assembling products, picking customer orders, and preparing orders for shipment or pick up.
·Helping keep an accurate product inventory by maintaining showroom displays, putting away warehouse inventory, and periodically taking a physical inventory.
·Using computer programs such as Microsoft Office’s Excel, Word, and Outlook, company’s inventory tracking software, and the Internet.
·Assisting in the production and processing of products by knowing the raw materials, general production processes, and quality controls to maximize the quality and distribution of the company’s products
